Services
Our services are currently under review but have included:
Networking and Communication
- Provides a forum for discussion and information sharing between the seven regional councils.
- Provides a link between national and international co-operative groups concerned with childcare and educational and co-operative issues.
- Provides support services to directors of local councils.
- Encourages parent participation in childcare and education through newsletter, press releases, etc..
Training
- Workshops are offered at semi-annual meetings which are beneficial to the directors of the seven councils and provide information which can be taken back to the local memeberships.
- Learning Co-operatively- a training program for parents, directors and staff has been prepared with a distinct co-operative focus and is available in various formats that are user-friendly.
- Trained facilitators are available to conduct workshops on many issues of concern to membership (eg. marketing, strategic planning, Board of Directors' training, etc).
Survey
- Questionnaire and survey conducted among the membership to determine range of salaries, rents, fees, etc.
Insurance
- Group policy available to councils to cover liability, directors and officers, etc.
- Access to Staff Benefits Group Insurance Program.
